The PocketSurvey software suite contains everything you need except a handheld computer and some data analysis software such as Microsoft Access.

You can use the PC handheld simulator to run your surveys but most users wish to collect their survey data using handheld, so you will benefit form having a handheld computer running Microsoft CE Version 3.

Essential Requirements

A PC suitable for running Windows 98 or above. You can run PocketSurvey on Windows 95 systems but you must also have also installed the Microsoft HTMLHelp viewer and Internet Explorer. Contact us for details on how to do this - it is easy.

PocketSurvey does not take up much disk space. However at least 5 megabytes of free disk space is recommended.

Optional Requirements

ActiveSync. Microsoft ActiveSync is required if you want to connect to your handheld computer.

Handheld. A suitable handheld computer running Windows CE Version 3 or above. For those without a handheld computer you can use the integrated handheld simulation program on your PC.

Analysis Tools. PocketSurvey contains simple data reporting tools, but these are designed mainly for checking your data after receiving it from the handheld computer.

To get meaningful reports from your information you will need either a spreadsheet program or, better still, a database. Other software types such as statistical analysis packages and geographical information systems can also be used.

PocketSurvey will output data in a format that will link with virtually any on the market. If you do not currently have any preference as to data analysis software, we can advise you.
